On-Line:

Our on-line program is approved by the Driving School Association of California and is recognized by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The information in our On-Line program is the same as is taught in our classroom, so when they do the Behind-the-Wheel lessons the student will be ready for our type of training.

History:

Our on-line program was set up by Welcome Driver with input from the owner of La Mesa Driving School who took the program as a student would.

Classroom:

30 hours of training is required if student is under 17½ years of age.

Each lesson is individual, so the student can start with any lesson

Remember, "Virtual Training" does not compare to "Actual Training"

La Mesa Driving School offers Adult theory classroom sessions

• Learn the basics of the car.
• Learn the basics of driving.
• Tutoring to pass the permit test.

Behind the Wheel Training: If a student is under 17½ years of age, they are required to do 6 hours with a driving instructor. The first lesson validates the permit so they may practice with a licensed adult, then 50 hours are required with a licensed adult (10 of which must be at night). The more practice, the better the driving skills and ability to pass the driving test. At the end of the course the student will receive a certificate of completion which is required by the DMV. Behind the wheel lessons are scheduled by appointment and are 2 hour sessions. We pick up and drop off students at home or at school.)
